Wesal al-Alani is an Iraqi artist living in Bahrain; a mother of five; a kidnapping survivor; and a witness to a decade of brutal sanctions and countless wars. she received her master’s degree in Fine Arts at the age of 56. she left Iraq due to the current instability of the country she has been residing in Bahrain for the past decade.
